As anticipation continues to grow for Professional Fighters League’s “Battle of the Giants” pay-per-view event, fans now know the entire fight card for Oct. 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
PFL announced their full lineup Thursday morning, which features three title fights, including two massive welcomes to the organization, a Bellator MMA title fight rematch and two of the sport’s top young fighters locking horns.
In addition to the previously revealed bouts that top the marquee, the league announced all 10 fights that will take place on Oct. 19.
Joining Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira, Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards, Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco and A.J. McKee vs. Paul Hughes on the PPV main card will be a featherweight duel between rising prospect Husein Kadimagomaev (11-1) and Zafar Mohsen (13-4).
Kadimagomaev, 24, will make his SmartCage debut against 29-year old Mohsen, who is also new to the PFL. Kadimagomaev has finished 10 of his 12 fights, 6 by knockout. He has also spent time throwing leather with Ultimate Fighting Championship star Khamzat Chimaev as they both train at Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden. Mohsen has won his last three fights by stoppage and overall has come out on top in 7 of his last 9 contests.
Outside of the five-fight main card, the prelims will feature plenty of young rising talent on the roster. The featured bout will see Bellator standout Raufeon Stots (20-2) make his first appearance with the PFL after nearly a year away from action when he takes on Brazilian Marcos Breno (15-3).
When the 2024 PFL Playoffs kicked off in August, there were several non-postseason featured attractions on the early portion of the cards to give opportunities for young talent to make a name for themselves. Not many stood out more than Dedrek Sanders, who in his debut had a very impressive first-round knockout of Sergio Cossio. Sanders will return to the PFL on Oct. 19 when he welcomes Russian Artur Zaynukov (15-4).
Two featherweight fights bolster the lineup, as Youssef Al Housani (4-1) will collide with Taha Bendaoud (3-0) and undefeated prospects Ibragim Ibragimov and Nacho Campos will also toe the line. A middleweight scrap between two PFL MENA standouts will unfold as Mostafa Rashed Nada (9-3) will do battle with Ahmed Sami (11-4-0, 1 NC).
