WNBA Lynx vs Aces Picks & Odds | June 11, 2024

Battle in the Western Conference as we have the Minnesota Lynx taking on the Las Vegas Aces. These 2 teams played each other once this season and the Aces won by a score of 80-66. This should be a battle of the best tonight.

Minnesota is having a great start to the season, leading the West with an 8-3 record. They are playing a complete game – meaning they’re playing well on both sides of the ball.

The Lynx are a good shooting team as well. They lead the league in field goal percentage, 3-point field goals and 3-point field goal percentage per game.

Shooters like leader Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride have been on fire. Collier is averaging 21.4 points and 11.4 rebounds per game while McBride is contributing 18 points per game.

On defensive, they have the best pace in the league, ranking 1st.  Minnesota is coming off a big win vs the Storm who are right behind them in the West. The Lynx will continue to try and keep things rolling.

Las Vegas looks to rebound after a tough loss Sunday night

Las Vegas’ Chelsea Gray dishes the ball from the top of the key.

Vegas has not started as expected. The defending champs are 5-3 so far this year and are coming in off an embarrassing loss. Down Jackie Young due to an illness, the Aces lost to the Sparks by 4 points.

Star A’ja Wilson played her typical game and led the team. She had 31 points and 11 rebounds. Wilson is averaging 28.3 points and 11.8 rebounds per game, which is insane. You think she may have a chip on her shoulder for not winning the MVP last year?

Guards Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young have been playing great, both averaging 18 points per game. Young was not listed on Tuesday’s injury report, so she should play in this game.

This team needs to get better on defense. They rank 7th in the league for pace and 1st in the league for turnovers per game. Vegas will have to protect the ball and make the easy shots to stay in this game.

Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Minnesota Lynx vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction and Picks

A’ja Wilson gets pumped up after scoring.

This could be a big statement game for the Aces. With the rough start they’ve had, coming in off a loss to beat the best in the conference is definitely a statement. The Aces are the defending champs for a reason.

Collier and crew are going to have to figure out a way to contain Wilson. I expect her to have another big game with 30+ points and 12+ rebounds (this time! lol).

Plum really stepped-up last game in Young’s absence so having her back will help spread the floor on the defense. Expect both of them to be shooting 3’s – I like Plum for 3 3-pointers for -114, which is extremely good value.

The Aces just burned us on the spread vs the Sparks, but we’re going right back to them. Shorter line than the Sparks game and I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes shorter (maybe 5 or 6). We’re taking the champs on the spread.
