UFC Vegas 95 is just over 24 hours away as some of the top MMA fighters prepare to put on a show for the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although most UFC enthusiasts anticipate the Marcin Tybura vs. Serghei Spivac 2 headlining act, the main card isn’t the only place to find betting value.

Saturday night’s preliminary card is also jam-packed with opportunities to win big, so let’s check out some of my favorite early bets as we get into my UFC Vegas 95 prelim predictions and picks.

Karol Rosa vs. Pannie Kianzad Odds  — Women’s Bantamweight

  • Record: Karol Rosa (17-6) vs. Pannie Kianzad (16-8)
  • Moneyline: Karol Rosa (-205) | Pannie Kianzad (+175)
  • Round total: 2.5 — Over (-500) | Under (+375)
  • Most likely method of victory: Rosa via Points (-150)
  • Last 10 fights: Rosa — 6-4 | Kianzad — 7-3

Both of these bantamweights could use a win at the Apex this weekend. Pannie Kianzad has lost three of her last four outings and is coming off back-to-back losses, including a first-round submission defeat to Macy Chiasson back in March. Conversely, Karol Rosa has been alternating between wins and losses lately, most recently falling to Irene Aldana (via unanimous decision) in December.

Although both women are trending in the wrong direction, I’ll take Rosa to win. She hasn’t lost consecutive fights in her career, having gone 5-0 following her first five losses. Rosa is also the superior grappler, so I won’t be shocked if Kianzad struggles to handle her as much as she did against Chiasson.

That said, taking the favorite to win via points is the only viable option here.

Rosa vs. Kianzad prediction: Karol Rosa

Best Rosa vs. Kianzad bet: Rosa via points (-150)

Jhonata Diniz vs. Karl Williams Odds  — Heavyweight

  • Record: Jhonata Diniz (7-0) vs. Karl Williams (10-1)
  • Moneyline: Jhonata Diniz (+175) | Karl Williams (-205)
  • Round total: 2.5 — Over (-110) | Under (-120)
  • Most likely method of victory: Williams via Points (+130)
  • Last 10 fights: Diniz — 7-0 | Williams — 9-1

The undefeated Jhonata Diniz attempts to keep his perfect record intact after going 2-0 since making his UFC debut. Having said that, Karl Williams likely won’t go down without a fight given that he’s on a seven-fighting winning streak that saw him win each of his last four outings by unanimous decision.

At the end of the day, I’m taking Williams to win due to his superior cardio and experience. As promising as Diniz appears, he’s only fought beyond the first round once and hasn’t fought anyone close to being on Williams’ level.

Let’s take Williams to win via points given that he hasn’t finished an opponent since joining the UFC.

Diniz vs. Williams prediction: Karl Williams

Best Diniz vs. Williams bet: Williams via points (+130)

Youssef Zalal vs. Jarno Errens Odds  — Featherweight

  • Record: Youssef Zalal (14-5-1) vs. Jarno Errens (14-5-1)
  • Moneyline: Youssef Zalal (-440) | Jarno Errens (+340)
  • Round total: 2.5 — Over (-220) | Under (+180)
  • Most likely method of victory: Zalal via Points (-130)
  • Last 10 fights: Zalal — 6-3-1 | Errens — 6-3-1

Youssef Zalal heads into the UFC Vegas 95 preliminary card on a four-fight winning streak that saw him finish each opponent — including three in Round 1. Conversely, Jarno Errens finally tasted a UFC victory after a 0-2 start to his tenure, having edged out Steve Nguyen via unanimous decision just under five months ago.

I won’t overthink things here. Zalal is the right pick to win this fight, especially with how dominant he’s been in the octagon. Errens is just too erratic to trust and the fact that he can’t defeat any serious competition is concerning.

Even though BetOnline is favoring a lengthy bout, I like the idea of Zalal winning inside the distance. Again, he has a 100% finish rate in his last four fights and I see that trend continuing against Errens, who might not last in the UFC for much longer based on how his run is going.

Zalal vs. Errens prediction: Youssef Zalal

Best Zalal vs. Errens bet: Youssef Zalal inside the distance (+175)

Talita Alencar vs. Stephanie Luciano Odds  — Women’s Strawweight

  • Record: Talita Alencar (5-0-1) vs. Stephanie Luciano (5-1-1)
  • Moneyline: Talita Alencar (+135) | Stephanie Luciano (-155)
  • Round total: 2.5 — Over (-275) | Under (+215)
  • Most likely method of victory: Luciano via Points (+11o)
  • Last 10 fights: Alencar — 5-0-1 | Luciano — 5-1-1

This women’s strawweight matchup is a rematch from Dana White’s Contender Series 2023. It was a back-and-forth event that ended in a unanimous decision draw. By the time the fight had finished, Talita Alencar owned a 4-1 lead in terms of takedowns while Stephanie Luciano had the 87-35 edge in strikes landed.

Luciano has yet to step back into the octagon since that draw while Alencar is coming off a split-decision win against Rayanne dos Santos in December. Having said that, I do like Luciano more considering that she’s the more well-rounded fighter who did a good job at coming back from Alencar’s takedowns. It could be another lengthy fight just like the first meeting, so it’s best to expect a decision win this Saturday.

Alencar vs. Luciano prediction: Stephanie Luciano

Best Alencar vs. Luciano bet: Stephanie Luciano via points (+110)
