They are currently just 2 games behind the Mariners in the AL West, and I believe they will start this series on a high note.
The Texas team had a winning streak of five games before they faced a loss against the Angels on Wednesday. However, their performance on the road this year has been less than stellar. Considering this is the final series before a break, it’s possible that the Rangers might start daydreaming about their vacations prematurely. They’ve returned to Texas after a trip to California, but had to proceed to Houston before they could enjoy the comfort of their homes.
Andrew Heaney has faced the Astros twice and surrendered 8 runs from 8 hits and 7 walks in just 7.1 innings. The Astros emerged victorious in both games. Despite coming off a solid start, Heaney will likely struggle against the Astros who have the best team average both at home and overall. They are likely to score some runs and hits against him tonight. On the other hand, Hunter Brown struggled initially against the Rangers and began the season in a slump. However, he’s recently found his form, winning four consecutive starts and allowing only a single run, a solo home run, in 25 innings. I predict he will perform well at home tonight against the Rangers.
