Rockies @ Padres Analysis & Breakdown
The Padres have won 9 of their L11 games and are making a run for the post-seaon. They’ve gone 21-12 since June 20th and currently lead the MLB in team batting average. Since the All-Star Break, they’re batting 0.281 and just smoked the Dodgers TWICE.
San Diego’s coming off a loss in the series opener and are looking to respond in a big way. Rockies starting pitcher Austin Gomber recorded just his third win of the year, going 7 innings and striking out 6.
A rare misstep by the Padres over the last month, who haven’t lost back to back games since July 19th. Tonight we get a duel between Martin Pérez for the Padres and Tanner Gordon for the Rockies.
Both starters have struggled this season, both posting ERA’s north of 5 and allowing more than a home run per game. Tonight it looks like we could be in store for offense so let’s get into tonight best bets.
