Red Sox @ Dodgers Analysis & Breakdown
The Dodgers and Red Sox went 11 innings last night, with the Dodgers pulling out the win late.
The Red Sox and Dodgers have played two games of three games in this series and both games have been electric. In Game 1 the Red Sox held a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the eight inning. That’s when Freddie Freeman flipped the table and said absolutely not.
With the bases loaded, the Red Sox turned to their closer and former Dodger; Kelly Jansen. In the very stadium where he recorded a Dodger record 350 saves, he gives up a Grand Slam and the Dodgers go up 4-1.
The Dodgers would go on to close Game 1 in the top of the 9th and go home with the 3 run win. In Game 2 we saw 22 combined hits from both teams, 4 home runs, and 12 extra-base hits. Offense was a consistent theme last night.
Tyler O’Neill finished with 4 RBI and 2 home runs for the Red Sox. Despite holding a 1-run lead going the 9th, and a 2-run lead going into the bottom tenth; the Red Sox still found a way to lose.
Kike Hernandez was on a different planet. He had two hits, one home run and two RBI; both crucial in tying the game late and he scored the eventual game winning run.
It was fireworks last night in Los Angeles, I’m expecting the finale to be even bigger.

He’s also got a 0.608 SLG on the road, recording 11 of his 18 home runs when away from the Big Green Monster at Fenway.

The Red Sox resurgence has been due in major part to this man, Rafael Devers.
