Defense wins championships, and I have been very impressed with the Spanish back line. They are coming off a shutout against a Japanese team that had no trouble finding the back of the net. Yes, they gave up 2 goals to Egypt and lost, but they advanced to the knockout rounds and have been handling business since. I think they shutdown this Moroccan team and win 1-0 (+600) or 2-0 (+850).
As for me, I’ll just lay some juice and bet on the under. Morocco has been scoring like crazy, including winning their last two matches 7-0 on aggregate. They put up 4 goals against the United States but I trust this Spanish backline to hold strong and lead their team to victory. Morocco was held to just 1 goal when they faced Ukraine, who carries a tough defense, so against Spain, I see them struggling to produce chances that they’ve seen in past matches.
Defensively, Morocco has only faced 4 shots on target in their last two matches, and certainly Spain will be able to create double those chances on their own. Ultimately, I think Spain is far more talented, and Morocco will see the best defense they’ve faced all tournament long. Even though they held strong against Argentina, I trust the Spanish U23 team slightly more, so I’ll bet on their defense to stay strong

France is -600 to advance in this game, and that totally makes sense to me. They are the much better team, they are the much deeper team, and ultimately Egypt is happy to be here. They somehow beat Spain to top their group, but ultimately France is too tough of an opponent for them. France has literally not allowed a goal in any of the 4 matches they have played and won. The hosts are beating their opponents 8-0 on aggregate in 4 matches, and I see them being able to do the same against Egypt. While I endorse Egypt TT Under 0.5 (-136) or even France to Win to Nil at (-104), I’ll take a stab at them winning this match by 2 goals.
France only managed 1 goal against Argentina and Guinea, but they’ve shown they can score at will, netting 3 goals each against New Zealand and the United States. They should have no trouble scoring against the Egyptian back line. Although Egypt hasn’t allowed more than 1 goal per contest, this will be a true test for them. Yes, they beat Spain 2-1 in group stage, but Spain was arguably not into that game as much as they had already sealed their advancement to the next round. Point being, you do not want to play the hosts in the semifinals. They have all kinds of advantages on their side, not including the fact that they are simply much more talented than Egypt.
Ultiamtely, I see France winning this 2-0 or 3-0, but as long as they win by 2 we are in great shape!
