The EURO 2024 Quarterfinals kick off today in Germany as our hosts take on the young guns of Spain. Both teams have looked fantastic in this tournament so far, and now our hosts find themselves as slight underdogs against the Spaniards.
Both teams are on the rather stacked side of the bracket, with our winner today facing either France or Portugal in the Semifinals. This tournament is heating up, with all kinds of talent remaining amongst the squads. This could be anyone’s EURO, but I’ve got my eye on a few specific spots.

Will Germany Handle Their Visitors?

This will be an exciting matchup to say the least. We have two teams that have pretty much dominated their entire EURO campaign. Spain swept through their group, winning all three matches with ease, taking down both Croatia and Italy in the process. After allowing an easy one to Georgia, they battled back and ended up winning 3-1 to punch their ticket to the Quarterfinals.
Germany went 2-1 in their group, surviving with a draw against Switzerland with a last minute equalizer in stoppage time. Against Denmark, Germany won 2-0, handling their Danish foes. Now both teams matchup and I am very excited for this match. Although we have two solid defenses, I think we see some fireworks in this game with both teams finding the back of the net. As for a 90 minute prediction, I really can’t wrap my head around it.
However, I have backed Spain as my EURO 2024 champion from the beginning, and there’s no reason to stop now. They have been playing fantastic soccer, almost toying with their opponents en route to victory. I don’t think that changes today.

Point being, for this line, I’ll cover my behind and just bet on the Spanish to move on, however they can get it done.
