Casino Industry News Roundup – Friday, October 4, 2024

It has been a busy time both in the U.S. and internationally in the casino and online gambling industries.

What are some headlines that have made the news this week? Below, we look at notable industry info from near and far.

Atlantic City Gaming Establishments Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and throughout the month, Atlantic City casinos are coming together in support.

Several Atlantic City establishments, including Bally’s, Golden Nugget, and Ocean, will be offering pink-themed cocktails, with proceeds from each drink going towards charitable causes.

Additionally, numerous events will take place throughout the month at Atlantic City Casinos to raise awareness and raise funds to support cancer research.

This community-focused effort reflects a commitment to not only provide entertainment but also to address a serious health issue that impacts many.

These efforts highlight how casinos can use their platforms to foster positive change and support important health causes.

Dutch Online Gambling Deposit Limits Set for 2024

The Dutch government has enacted new regulations concerning deposit limits for online gambling.

This regulatory change, which came into effect on October 1, is part of an effort to promote responsible gambling practices and protect players from potential financial harm.

Under the new rules, players will face restrictions on the maximum amount they can deposit into their online gambling accounts each month. In a calendar month, players will have a net deposit limit of seven hundred euros. That amount comes out to a little over $770 U.S. dollars. If someone wishes to exceed that limit, proof of sufficient income will be required.

Additionally, new customers who wish to have a deposit limit above 350 euros, which is over $380 U.S. dollars, will be contacted to show awareness of the risks associated with gambling.

These new regulations aim to curb excessive gambling and ensure that players are not at risk of incurring significant financial losses.

Gaming Realms has partnered up with S Gaming Ltd. to bring several of the latter’s games to North American and European markets.

Gaming Realms, which widely known for its variety of Slingo games, will distribute multiple S Gaming titles in North America. Those titles include “Catch the Robbers” and “Captain Jacks Chests.”

This is not the only new partnership for Gaming Realms. On Tuesday, it was announced that Gaming Realms and Caesars are partnering on an exclusive game, “Caesars Blackjack X-Change,” which will come to both online and land-based Caesars casinos in Michigan, New Jersey, and Ontario. In this game, players can exchange cards between hands. That feature brings an additional strategic element to one of the most popular casino games.
