This 2024 Presidential Election betting odds update is brought to you by BetOnline. BetOnline is a market leader in sports betting, offering various options regarding American politics, including when it comes to who’ll be the next United States President, whether that be Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, or someone else.
The 2024 United States Presidential Election scene has been heating up over the last few weeks. Between President Joe Biden stepping aside to let Kamala Harris shine and Donald Trump’s assassination attempt, it’s clear that we’re in for a wild ride between now and November.
When Harris first replaced Biden, Trump was still most sportsbook’s odds-on favorite to be named the next president. However, things have changed a lot since then with Harris’ numbers skyrocketing in polls across the country. It’s at the point where a lot of Americans are wondering if we’re about to see the first-ever female president this fall.
While there’s still plenty of time before polling stations open, the latest odds from sportsbooks like BetOnline help shed some light on how things could unfold.
Let’s take a look at the latest 2024 U.S. Presidential Election odds, as well as who’s most likely to be named Harris’ vice presidential running mate.
Presidential Election Odds 2024: Harris Still Leading Democratic Race
U.S. Presidential Election odds are courtesy of BetOnline at 9:13 a.m. ET on Wednesday, July 31.
- Kamala Harris (-10000)
- Michelle Obama (+3000)
- Hillary Clinton (+5000)
- Joe Manchin (+12500)
- 20 others between +25000 and +500000 odds
Although Harris will likely be representing the Democrats in the election, her nomination won’t be made official until the 2024 Democratic National Convention on Aug. 19. Having said that, she still finds herself as the -10000 favorite — an implied probability of 99.0% — to be this year’s Democratic nominee.
There really aren’t any viable contenders on this list, so it’s all but certain that Harris’ name will be on the ballot come November. So, who’s the top candidate to be her vice president?
Democrat Vice President Nominee Odds
- Josh Shapiro (-200)
- Mark Kelly (+325)
- Andy Beshear (+750)
- Tim Walz (+850)
- Pete Buttigieg (+2800)
- Hillary Clinton (+6600)
- Gretchen Whitmer (+8000)
- Gary Peters (+8000)
- 11 others between +10000 and +25000 odds
As it stands, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is the -200 favorite (66.7%) to be the Democrat Vice President nominee. He’s one of the Democrats’ more charismatic candidates and his popularity in Pennsylvania — one of the most crucial swing states — could be a boost for Harris’ campaign. It’s also entirely possible that this is just a teaser for when he potentially runs in 2028.
Interestingly enough, Arizona senator/former Navy combat pilot/ex-astronaut Mark Kelly is one of the more popular picks and currently holds the second-best odds to ride with Harris. He’s the type of “no-nonsense” individual who could sway independents and on-the-fence conservatives into voting for Harris.
Outside of Shapiro and Kelly, everyone seems to be somewhat of a long shot.

2024 Presidential Election Odds
- Donald Trump (-130)
- Kamala Harris (+120)
- Michelle Obama (+6600)
- Andy Beshear (+10000
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (+10000)
- 10 others between +15000 and +50000 odds
As of July 31, Donald Trump is still BetOnline’s favorite to win the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. Having said that, his odds are on the decline. On July 24, Trump sat at -200 odds (66.7%) to become U.S. President for the second time, however, those odds now sit at -130 (56.2%) as Harris continues to establish herself.
Harris’ meteoric rise has led to her stealing a lot of Trump’s thunder in key states. According to Al Jazeera, the 59-year-old is now ahead of Trump in Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada. She’s also barely trailing him when it comes to nationwide polling, sitting at 42% to his 43%. If things remain at their current trajectory, it might not be long before we’re looking at a new odds-on favorite.
Since beginning her campaign, Harris has raised over $200 million through fundraising and received volunteer sign-ups from over 170,000 individuals, per The Guardian. It also helps that she’s been endorsed by just about everyone under the sun, from presidents like Joe Biden and Barack Obama to unlikely supporters like Republican Arizona mayor John Giles.
It’s safe to say that the presidential election race could become even tighter as time goes on. The Primary Election is less than a month away, meaning things could look a lot different before we even get to September.
But regardless of what happens in the coming weeks, we’re likely in for a wild ride that we won’t forget.
