2024 NBA Draft: First-Round Props, Odds, & Picks

All 2024 NBA Draft odds are courtesy of BetOnline as of Tuesday, June 25 at 11:24 a.m. ET.

First Overall Pick Odds

  • Zaccharie Risacher, JL Bourg (-275)
  • Donovan Clingan, UConn (+250)
  • Alexandre Sarr, Perth Wildcats (+550)
  • Stephon Castle, UConn (+1800)
  • Reed Sheppard, Kentucky (+6600)
  • Matas Buzelis, G League (+7500)

BetOnline’s NBA Draft odds favor Zaccharie Risacher to be selected first overall by the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. He’s consistently at the top of most mock drafts and all signs point to him heading to Atlanta following a positive workout with the Hawks. The promising French prospect averaged 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.8 steals while slashing .439/.352/.740 across 32 games with LNB Pro A’s JL Bourg last season.

In need of some forward help, I feel like the Hawks are definitely going with Risacher. While Donovan Clingan has also worked out with the franchise, there’s a reason why most experts are linking Risacher to Atlanta. Surprises happen all the time at the draft, but I don’t see that happening at Pick No. 1.

NBA Draft First Overall Pick Prediction: Zaccharie Risacher (-275)

Second Overall Pick Odds

  • Alexandre Sarr, Perth Wildcats (-800)
  • Zaccharie Risacher, JL Bourg (+550)
  • Donovan Clingan, UConn (+800)
  • Reed Sheppard, Kentucky (+2000)
  • Stephon Castle, UConn (+2800)
  • Matas Buzelis, G League (+50000)

When it comes to who the Washington Wizards will draft second overall, BetOnline is currently favoring Alexandre Sarr at -800 odds. The 7-foot-1, 224-pound Frenchman played well for the Perth Wildcats, averaging 9.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 0.9 assists in 24 games. He also showed some floor-stretch potential, shooting 29.8% on 2.0 attempts from deep per outing.

While I do see the center-needy Wizards adding Sarr, I wouldn’t wager on him since there isn’t a ton of value here. If you want to get in on this market, you may as well sprinkle a few dollars on Zaccharie Risacher given that Washington wouldn’t hesitate to scoop him up if the Hawks go in a different direction.

NBA Draft Second Overall Pick Prediction: Sprinkle Zaccharie Risacher (+550)

Bronny James Draft Position

  • Over 47.5 Draft Position (-120)
  • Under 47.5 Draft Position (-120)

One of the most-discussed prospects heading into the 2024 NBA Draft is USC’s Bronny James. The 19-year-old is the son of future Hall-of-Famer LeBron and is ready to make the jump to the next level after one season with the Trojans. Having said that, many are wondering when the upcoming prospect will be drafted given that his lone NCAA season left much to be desired (4.8 PTS/2.8 REB/2.1 AST/0.8 STL with .366/.267/.676).

Still, I like the Under on this prop. Many NBA insiders are under the belief that drafting Bronny could potentially land them LeBron via free agency due to the latter openly expressing that he’d love to play alongside his son. Even if the four-time NBA Champion opts to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers, there are teams out there that wouldn’t hesitate to use a second-round pick even if luring LeBron is a long shot.

Bronny James Draft Position: Under 47.5 (-120)

Will the No. 1 Overall Pick Be Traded?

  • No (-350)
  • Yes (+225)

Since 1950, the NBA Draft’s No. 1 pick has only been traded seven times. The most recent instance occurred in 2017 when the Philadelphia 76ers acquired the first overall selection from the Boston Celtics for Pick No. 3 and a future first-round pick. The 76ers went on to select Markelle Fultz, who’s seen as one of the worst top picks in recent years.

While it’s been seven years since that trade, I could see the Hawks moving the first-overall selection this week. NBA insider Marc Stein recently reported that Atlanta could consider trading the pick for the right price and even linked the San Antonio Spurs to a potential deal. After all, the Spurs currently hold the 4th, 8th, 35th, and 48th overall selections, giving them more than enough ammo to entice the Hawks.

A blockbuster trade certainly isn’t guaranteed, however, the Spurs’ assets have me believing that there’s a slim possibility. Sprinkle some money on this prop.
