Say What – 'Felt Good Out There'
What was said after the Flames' 6-3 win over the Flyers
Jonathan Huberdeau on getting contributions from everyone:
“We need everybody throughout the lineup, that’s how … we’re going to win some games. It’s good to see everybody involved and getting some points, too.”
On how he’s feeling to start the season:
“I think that was the best I’ve felt the past two years. It’s early, but I was feeling good coming into training camp, worked really hard this summer to be at my best.”
“Good to see everybody involved”
Dustin Wolf on the win over the Flyers:
“The team was great, I felt good out there. They threw a lot of rubber on pretty early, after the long ceremonies I was able to stay in it. Felt good to get that win.”
On getting the start in the home opener:
“It’s fantastic, that’s the goal. You want to get in the net, especially the home opener, it’s pretty special. Team was great from the start, I think that’s kind of the character of our group, we hang in there and find ways to get wins.”
“I felt good out there”
Ryan Huska on the game overall:
“We got saves from Wolfie early on. When you’re not playing your best, we’ve talked lots about it, we have for years, that the powerplay, you’d like it to contribute. I thought when we weren’t at our best, it did that.”
On Wolf’s performance:
“After about five minutes, I thought he looked in control. When he’s not letting out rebounds, things are kinda sticking to him and he knows where the puck is, he’s tracking it well, they notice he’s dialled in. I thought he looked in control tonight.”
On what Huberdeau is doing well:
“He’s doing a lot of things, and he did prior years too, like he’s killing penalties now, I’m probably more excited about that stuff than the points that he put on the board tonight. I feel like he’s engaged, even in the penalty-kill, so that’s good for us. We need him right now.”
