Suzuki scores pair, but Canadiens skid slides to four in loss to Rangers
MONTREAL – Nick Suzuki scored his first two goals of the season, but the Canadiens lost 7-2 to the New York Rangers at the Bell Centre on Tuesday.
Samuel Montembeault started the game for Montreal but was replaced by Cayden Primeau midway through the opening frame. Primeau made 32 saves in relief of Montembeault.

Prior to puck drop, the Canadiens honored the team’s 1970s dynasty with a video tribute and ceremony.
Tribute to the legends of the 1970s
Multiple members of the 70s dynasty that won four consecutive Stanley Cups were reunited at the Bell Centre as part of “Tribute to the Champions” night.
Roster
Michael Pezzetta made his season debut against the Rangers in place of the injured Juraj Slafkovský.
Justin Barron left Tuesday’s game in the third period and did not return.
