Dahlin fined maximum for high-sticking in Sabres game

Defenseman penalized $5,000 for actions against Panthers

NEW YORK — Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell during NHL Game No. 140 in Buffalo on Monday, Oct. 28, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 12:58 of the third period. Dahlin was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
