The Boston Bruins are skating into their Centennial Game in style.
On Thursday, the team unveiled the commemorative jerseys they will wear during their Centennial Game against the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden on Dec. 1.
It is the 100th anniversary of the team’s first-ever game against the Montreal Maroons.

The jersey celebrates the Bruins history by combining the old and the new. The sweater features the same crest worn throughout the Centennial season in the Bruins traditional gold. Vintage spokes worn by former stars Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque are combined with the modern serif varsity “B.”
An updated Centennial patch includes a new color-scheme and the Dec. 1 date of the game.

The sleeves and socks are dipped in gold in honor of the former Bruins who wore the Spoked-B uniforms.
On the collar, the result of the team’s first-ever game in 1924 is written: “Game # 1 Boston Bruins 2 – Montreal Maroons 1.”

The Bruins team values, “tradition, grit, passion and heart,” are written on the inside hem of the jerseys.
