  • Head coach Frank Reich had “no updates” on LB Brian Burns when asked about his status for Sunday against the Falcons. Burns returned to practice this week after missing a couple sessions, but is currently seeking a contract extension from the team. Reich did not specify who would start if Burns doesn’t play.

Indianapolis Colts

SIGNINGS

  • LS Luke Rhodes signed a four-year, $6.465 million extension through 2027 to become the NFL’s highest-paid long snapper, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported, per Rhodes’ agent. Rhodes gets $2.5 million guaranteed, including a $1.1 million signing bonus, per Pelissero. The team has since announced the news.

  • DL Tyler Lacy (hip) is out for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

  • DE Chandler Jones, who left the team for what head coach Josh McDaniels called a “private matter” earlier this week, is out Sunday. Jones posted a since-deleted social media message Tuesday claiming that he didn’t “wanna play for the Raiders” if McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler remained in control of the team.

  • QB Stetson Bennett (right shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday’s season opener against Seattle.
  • WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) has been ruled out.
  • TE Hunter Long (thigh) has been ruled out.

Miami Dolphins

  • OT Terron Armstead (back/ankle/knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers, NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported. Kendall Lamm is expected to start at left tackle, per Wolfe. The team injury report later confirmed Armstead’s status.
  • CB Justin Bethel (knee) questionable

Minnesota Vikings

  • LB Marcus Davenport (ankle) has been added to the injury report and is questionable versus Tampa Bay.

  • K Graham Gano signed a three-year contract extension, the team announced Friday. Gano’s extension is worth $16.5 million, with $11.3 million fully guaranteed and nearly $2 million more in injury guarantees, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported.

  • WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee) is doubtful for Sunday versus Dallas.
