NFL Capsule Overview

I envisioned this collection as a platform to express my artistic ingenuity by reimagining team mascots and logos with an engineering and machinery perspective. Every team comprises of individual elements (players) working together to fulfill a common goal or task (victory) with the exactness of a perfectly tuned machine.

I find the mascots of sports teams fascinating. The idea is entertaining, particularly when it comes to animal mascots such as the Eagles. Their range of emotions from excitement to fury is enjoyable to depict. My thoughts on sports invariably lead me to the passion and emotion of fans during and post-games. I am drawn to that unfiltered emotion, as it echoes the fervor people can exhibit for their sources of joy, just as art does for me.

Under the leadership of founder Ellen Bennett, Hedley & Bennett has evolved into an expanding collection of practical, durable, and aesthetically pleasing kitchen gear made to stand the test of time and countless meals.

Ellen Marie Bennett, Founder & Chief Brand Officer of Hedley & Bennett

Ellen Bennett, the founder and Chief Brand Officer of Hedley & Bennett, a kitchenware company based in Los Angeles, is a multi-talented individual. She is a renowned cook, designer, author, and mother. Half Mexican and half English, Ellen’s passion for cooking led her to attend culinary school in Mexico City when she was just 18. After her return to LA, she worked as a professional cook in some of the city’s top kitchens, including the two-Michelin starred Providence. Here, she identified the scope for enhancing the standard kitchen work attire. With a humble beginning of just $300, Hedley & Bennett was launched with a single apron that combined professional quality with style. Today, the company, which is now worth 8-figures, has grown to include not just aprons, but other kitchen essentials like professional-grade knives, cutting boards, kitchen linens, and more. Bennett is also a respected author. Her memoir, “Dream First, Details Later,” serves as an inspirational guide for those who wish to follow their dreams without hindrance.
