Start ‘Em
Koo is coming off his best game of the season with 18 fantasy points. It was his second time reaching double figures in 2024. We know he is a very reliable kicker and the Bucs tend to get into some high-scoring games. And with this being a divisional matchup on a Thursday night, it could be one of those games where both offenses move the ball but have to settle for kicks. I would keep riding with Koo.
Hopefully you stuck with McLaughlin after a down week that was very much not his fault. He has now reached double figures in three of four games. He has been very reliable and is tied to a good offense. Tampa Bay draws a Falcons defense that has been stingy and the game is on Thursday night. That could lead to more drives where the Bucs stall out and have to kick.
Here comes the moneyyyyy! McPherson is a reliable kicker tied to a good offense. That’s a kicker that you want to trust in fantasy football. And it has worked out the last three weeks. In that span, McPherson has scored 15, nine and 12 fantasy points. This also could be a game where the Bengals can move the ball but not punch it in. Keep riding with Money Mac.
Moody got back on track last week with his best game since Week 1, a spike week where he scored 24 fantasy points. A game against the Cardinals could lead to a lot of points. You want exposure to this game and Moody is another way for you to get it.
Other than a big spike week, the best thing you can have in a fantasy kicker is a safe floor. Boswell brings exactly that. He has scored at least eight fantasy points in all four games this season. He also had a spike week with 24 in Week 1. The Steelers should be able to move the ball against a banged-up Cowboys defense and get Boswell chances.
Sit ‘Em
I am sorry, Daniel Carlson. It’s not you, it’s your offense. We know Carlson is one of the most reliable kickers in the league, but if his offense can’t move the ball, what good is reliability? Twice this year, Carlson has been held under five fantasy points. You simply cannot trust that in fantasy.
Little is coming off his best game of the season, but that was just 10 fantasy points. Prior to that, his previous high was seven fantasy points. The Jags have a knack for playing their best against their divisional rivals but this is still not an offense I want to trust. Play a different kicker.
We’re four games into the season and Zuerlein has yet to reach double digits. The Jets will have their hands full trying to move the ball on a tough Vikings defense this week. The floor is too low and we have yet to see really any upside. Play a different kicker this week.
After a hot start to the season, Santos has cooled off in recent weeks. It’s not his fault, but his offense is having a tough time consistently moving the ball. They struggled in good matchups the last two weeks, so it’s tough to think this week will be any different.
It has been an up-and-down fantasy season for Lutz. Twice he has reached double digits and twice he has scored six or fewer. The floor is low and we have not seen a ton of upside. Plus, this game has the makings of a defensive battle.
