The New York Jets’ offensive line will be without its starting right tackle for the next few weeks.
Morgan Moses suffered an MCL sprain and bone bruise in Thursday’s win over the Patriots and is expected to miss two to four weeks, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Saturday, per sources.
Moses went down with the injury near the end of the third quarter on Thursday after he was rolled up on from behind. The veteran limped off under his own power before being ruled out for the remainder of the game.
First-round rookie Olumuyiwa Fashanu took Moses’ place following the veteran’s exit and is expected to start in his place.
Protecting quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been a key objective for the Jets in 2024. A rookie will now be a part of that effort, but thankfully for Gang Green, Moses will be back this season.
The Jets (2-1) will face the Broncos at home in Week 4.
