ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday that Clippers guard Patrick Beverley will be absent for several games due to a right wrist sprain he sustained in Saturday’s home loss against the Jazz.

ESPN has been informed by league sources that Patrick Beverley, guard for the Clippers, is anticipated to sit out a few games due to a sprain in his right wrist.

“Even though we knew there was no break, it doesn’t necessarily indicate whether he’ll be in or out,” said Clippers coach Doc Rivers after the game against Jazz. “It could be anything, even a bruise. It clearly seemed like he was unable to even hold the ball, which is not a good sign.”

In his third season with the Clippers and eighth in the NBA, Beverley is averaging 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds this season.
