LAS VEGAS — The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Dallas Mavericks 88-79 in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Saturday.
Dallas carried a four-point lead into halftime, but Oklahoma City won the third quarter by 13 points and took control heading into the final period. The Mavericks shot slightly better from the field, but the Thunder made up for their poor field-goal percentage by knocking down more threes while committing fewer turnovers and fouls. Oklahoma City also outrebounded Dallas 46-44, including five more offensive boards.
Keyontae Johnson and Jaden Shackelford led the Thunder with 20 points each. Johnson added nine boards, six assists and a steal, while Shackelford chipped in six assists, three boards, a steal and a block. Malevy Leons was the only other Thunder player in double figures with 11 points. Kylor Kelley grabbed 12 boards to go along with six points.
A.J. Lawson led Dallas with 19 points, adding seven boards, two steals and an assist. Jazian Gortman and Isaiah Whaley each scored 14, with Gortman adding nine dimes. Olivier-Maxence Prosper was the only other Maverick in double figures with 13 points, while Jamarion Sharp grabbed 10 boards and blocked five shots.
That marks the end of the Summer League for both of these teams.
