LAS VEGAS — Dmytro Skapintsev delivered 17 points off the bench to lead the New York Knicks to a 91-90 victory over the Detroit Pistons in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday at Pavilion.

The game got out to a competitive start as the Knicks held a 28-27 lead after one quarter. They pulled away in the second, outscoring the Pistons by nine points to make it a 10-point deficit at the break. The Knicks stayed in control through the third, pushing their lead up to 13 points entering the final frame. The Pistons found a new energy in the fourth and rallied to cut it to a one-point game with three minutes left, but the Knicks were able to stay a step ahead down the stretch to hold on for the win.

Skapintsev added 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and three blocks to his team-high scoring effort. Duane Washington Jr. followed up with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, while Pacome Dadiet turned in 12 points and five rebounds.

Marcus Sasser led the Pistons with 24 points, three rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes of action. Ron Holland II followed up with 20 points, six rebounds, a steal and two blocks, while Tolu Smith totaled 15 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and a block.
