LAS VEGAS — The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Brooklyn Nets, 97-90, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Sunday.

There were nine ties and 13 lead changes in this game, with Charlotte holding the lead for all but one minute in the second half. The Hornets shot 50.0% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range while holding the Nets to 46.4% from the field and 36.8% from long range. The Hornets also outscored the Nets in the paint, 44-28, while out-rebounding them, 37-31.

The Hornets (4-1) were led by Brandon Slater, who finished with 30 points, two rebounds and three steals. Jake Stephens totaled 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Marcus Garrett generated 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals, while RaeQuan Battle and Pedro Bradshaw led the bench with 10 points apiece.

The Nets (3-2) were led by Keon Johnson, who collected 15 points, three assists and two steals. Jalen Wilson amassed 12 points and two rebounds. Noah Clowney compiled 12 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while Mark Armstrong led the bench with 10 points, two rebounds and five assists.

That marks the end of the Summer League for both teams.
