LAS VEGAS — The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 88-77 at Cox Pavilion in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas on Thursday.

The Grizzlies looked in control in the first minutes, but the Pelicans showed they were not ready to go down without a fight. The first two quarters witnessed an even contest, and once the first half was over, both teams were tied 43-43 while constantly trading leads back and forth. However, the Grizzlies started to pull away in the third quarter, where they outscored New Orleans 23-16. The Grizzlies ended up winning by a comfortable margin after outscoring New Orleans 22-18 in the fourth quarter.

Scotty Pippen Jr. and GG Jackson led the way for the Grizzlies with 17 points each. Jackson also added seven boards and six assists, while Pippen handed out 11 dimes and six boards. DeJon Jarreau and Jaylen Wells posted 15 points each. Zach Edey had six points (3-3 FGs) and three boards before exiting the game just before halftime with an ankle injury.

Jordan Ford led the Pelicans with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jordan Hawkins notched 13 points, while rookie Yves Missi delivered 11 points, six rebounds and three blocks. Antonio Reeves had 12 points.
