Mike Brown becomes 2nd Sacramento Kings coach to reach 40 wins

Mike Brown makes history as a kings coach.

Mike Brown made history as the second Sacramento Kings’ coach to win at least 40 games in an NBA season. The veteran coach achieved this milestone in a 128-119 road victory over the Suns. The Kings (40-26) are currently tied for second place in the Western conference, with the chance to clinch their first playoff berth in 16 years.

Prior to this season, Brown served as an assistant coach for the 2022 NBA champions(Golden State Warriors). Mike’s experience also includes head coaching positions with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Prior to this season, Rick Adelman was the only other head coach to guide a Kings team to at least 40 wins since the franchise moved to Sacramento from Kansas City in 1985.
