Mavs' Luka Doncic (calf contusion) to be re-evaluated in 1 week

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will be out at least one week after suffering a left calf contusion at team workouts, the team announced Wednesday.

The Dallas Mavericks announced today that Mavericks guard Luka Dončić sustained a hit during workouts this week resulting in a left calf contusion.
 
Dončić will be re-evaluated as necessary in one week.

Per the team, Doncic will be re-evaluated in one week. The Mavs host the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 7 (8 ET, NBA League Pass) to open their preseason slate.

Last season, Doncic averaged 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 48.7% overall and 38.2% on 3-pointers. He was an All-NBA First Team selection and helped lead the Mavs to the 2024 NBA Finals.
