The City Edition Uniform for the 2022-23 season of the LA Clippers is a tribute to the team’s strong connection with the South LA community. It includes design elements that honor the heritage and fervor of the famous Drew League, further emphasizing their deep-seated bond.
The vibrant mosaic pattern on the chest takes inspiration from the famous Watts Towers, while the wordmark blends the traditional scripts of the Clippers and The Drew. Green, a significant color in the Drew League’s narrative, is utilized to outline the lower inside part of the jersey.
The motto of the Drew League, “No Excuse. Just Produce,” is featured as the anthem on the jersey jocktag. The dates commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Drew League are displayed on both sides of the motto.
