The 2022-23 City Edition Uniform of the LA Clippers pays tribute to the team’s strong connection with the South LA community. It incorporates design features that honor the heritage and fervent spirit of the famous Drew League.
The vibrant mosaic pattern on the chest draws inspiration from the famous Watts Towers, while the wordmark fuses the traditional scripts of the Clippers and The Drew. Green, a significant color in the Drew League’s history, is used to accent the lower inside of the jersey.
The motto of the Drew League, “No Excuse. Just Produce,” is featured as the jersey jocktag anthem. The dates marking the Drew League’s 50th anniversary are displayed on either side of this motto.
