Clippers officially sign guard Reggie Jackson

Today, President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank announced that the L.A. Clippers have officially signed free agent guard Reggie Jackson. The specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed, in accordance with team policy.

“Reggie, with his established track record as a scorer and playmaker, will be a valuable addition to our team. We are excited about leveraging his experience and creativity,” Frank stated.

This season, 29-year-old Jackson played in 14 games for the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds over 27.2 minutes. The 6’3”, 208-pound guard has career averages of 12.9 points, 4.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds from his 544 appearances across eight NBA seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit. Jackson was the 24th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by Oklahoma City, after playing three college seasons at Boston College. During his junior year there, he earned first-team All-ACC honors.
