LAS VEGAS — The Utah Jazz defeated the New York Knicks, 90-85, in the Las Vegas Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Sunday.
Trailing 82-78 with 4:56 remaining, the Jazz finished the game on a 12-3 run, thanks in part to Knicks miscues. New York went 0-of-7 from the field and committed three turnovers in the final five minutes.
Utah connected on 55.2 percent of its shots from the field, while holding New York to 39.7 percent shooting.
Georges Niang, who was 8-of-13 from the field, finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and two steals to lead the Jazz (1-1). Tony Bradley scored 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. Diamond Stone led the bench with 14 points.
Kevin Knox totaled 19 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Knicks (1-1). Frank Ntilikina added 17 points and six assists, and Allonzo Trier had 15 points. Mitchell Robinson finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday, with Utah facing the Miami Heat and New York squaring off against the Los Angeles Lakers.
