Chris Haynes of ESPN.com has more from Durant at today’s practice, where the Warriors’ star got some shots up:
“I feel good right now. I plan on playing,” he said Wednesday.
…
The reigning Finals MVP dropped 40 points on the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena last season, the first and only game back at Oklahoma City.
The crowed chanted “cupcake” all evening, and Durant even engaged in a verbal exchange with Russell Westbrook.
Durant said Tuesday it was a “pretty fun moment to be a part of,” and said he knows what to expect this time around.
“It’s just a regular game for me now,” he said. “I learned how to tune out the crowd, I learned how to tune out the bulls—.”
After yesterday’s team workout, which was held at St. John’s University in New York, Durant said he is still feeling sore from the injury, but did get some shots up at practice. As for another date with his old team, Durant called it “just a regular game for me now. I learned how to tune out the crowd.”

The workout at St. John’s provided an opportunity for today’s stars on the Warriors to reunite with some past ones — namely Hall of Famers Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond. Mullin is the coach at St. John’s and Richmond is one of his assistants. Those two, as well as the St. John’s team at large, took in the Warriors’ workout today.
