It’s almost as if Dwyane Wade knew what was coming.
Wade took to social media today to apologize for his throat-slashing gesture during the late moments of the Chicago Bulls’ win over the Boston Celtics in Chicago on Thursday. Based on such incidents in the past, Wade will hear from the NBA office and a fine is expected to be issued.
Wade claimed he was caught up in the moment of the day, place and time. It was his first game with his new team, and representing his hometown.
I wanna apologize to my young fans on my gesture at the end of last nights game. I was caught up in the emotions of my first game at home.

Here’s what’s in Wade’s favor: He doesn’t have a history of these antics. He was given a rousing ovation at the start of the game and also led the way for the Bulls with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists in the 105-99 win.
