The Sacramento Kings defeated the Miami Heat 95-83 at Golden 1 Center in the California Classic Summer League on Wednesday.
The Kings enjoyed a strong start, racing to a 21-14 lead following the first quarter, and they maintained their seven-point advantage following a 26-26 score in the second period. However, the Heat played the second half with a more aggressive approach and responded with a 30-21 score in the third quarter, grabbing a two-point lead entering the final quarter before Sacramento pulled back thanks to a 27-13 score in the final period.
Keegan Murray led the way for the Kings with 41 points, five rebounds and four blocks, while Keon Ellis finished with 12 points. Alex O’Connell delivered 14 points and Colby Jones notched 11 points, both off the bench.
Nikola Jovic had 22 points to lead the Heat. Jamal Cain had 17 points off the bench.
