NBA commissioner Adam Silver presents Nikola Jokic with the Bill Russell Finals MVP award.
Nikola Jokic has earned his 1st Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award, elevating the Nuggets to their 1st NBA championship.
Jokic averaged 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists in the five-game series, which the Nuggets sealed with Monday’s 94-89 victory in front of their home fans at Denver’s Ball Arena.
His best statistical showing was likely the 32-point, 21-rebound, 10-assist, 2-block showing in Game 3 – not only the 1st 30-20-10 triple-double in Finals history, but also a crucial performance as the Nuggets rebounded from their only loss in the series (in which Jokic scored 41 points).
