University of Kentucky freshman Tyrese Maxey announced on Monday his plan to declare for the 2020 NBA Draft.
“It’s time for my next challenge,” Maxey wrote on social media. “My dream has always been to play in the NBA and I know I’m prepared for this because I’m Wildcat made.”
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 14 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists during his single season with Kentucky. His highlight moment came on the opening night of the season at Madison Square Garden when he scored 26 points to lead Kentucky past Michigan State.
