Jets stay perfect as NHL's only undefeated team, top Blues for 6th straight win

Perfetti 3 assists for Winnipeg; Saad scores twice for St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Kyle Connor scored for the fourth straight game, and the Winnipeg Jets won their sixth in a row to begin the season, 3-2 against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on Tuesday.

Cole Perfetti had three assists for the Jets (6-0-0), who have won 14 straight regular-season games dating to last season. Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves to win his fifth start.

Brandon Saad scored twice, Robert Thomas had two assists, and Jordan Binnington made 21 saves for the Blues (4-3-0), who ended a four-game homestand (2-2-0).

The Jets scored three times in the second period to overcome a one-goal deficit.

Nino Niederreiter’s tip of a Neal Pionk wrist shot from the right point tied it 1-1 on the power play at 8:12.

Colin Miller’s one-timer from the right point off the pass from Perfetti made it 2-1 at 13:58, and Connor made it 3-1 at 17:40 with a quick snap shot from the left circle.

Saad made it 3-2 at 5:15 off a rebound of Jordan Kyrou’s shot.

Saad put in a rebound of a Robert Thomas wrist shot at 10:11 of the first period to put St. Louis up 1-0, earning his 500th NHL point in his 867th game.

Thomas did leave the game with under 12 minutes remaining in the third after blocking a shot earlier in the period.
