The Sabres will be wearing their third jerseys for the first time this season.
Get ready for a spooky afternoon of family fun when we host the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, Oct. 26.
We’re hosting Hockey Halloween at KeyBank Center – complete with activities in the concourse, a special giveaway, and a Trick-or-Treat Trail for kids. Be sure to wear your costume!
We’ll be wearing our black-and-red jerseys for the first time this season, so you know the guys will be feeling evil.
Here’s what you can expect from Hockey Halloween.
Goathead flag giveaway
The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a wearable black-and-red Sabres flag. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., so make sure to arrive early!
Trick-or-Treat Trail
We are hosting a Trick-or-Treat Trail on the 100 Level from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The activity is limited to the first 1,000 kids on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fans who would like to participate can grab their treat bag and map at the Guest Services counter between Aisles 7 and 8 on the 100-Level concourse. There will be five stops on the trail, each with candy or a Sabres-branded treat.
Pumpkin Carving with Food Network’s Eric Jones
Eric Jones, an Olean native who won Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins and was a finalist on the network’s Halloween Wars, will perform a live pumpkin carving on the 100 Level.
Fans can take pictures in front of the four-foot-tall pumpkin, which will have a special black-and-red backdrop.
Halloween fun
Special Sabres and Halloween-themed hair braiding, face painting and glitter tattoos will be available near the Labatt Blue Zone on the 100 Level.
Also make sure to keep an eye out for the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus,” who will be roaming the arena to take pictures with fans, courtesy of A Dream is a Wish Entertainment.
