With six wins all by nine or more points, the Minnesota Lynx have given a firm indication that they are back to being one of the best teams in the WNBA.
Will the Los Angeles Sparks make a return to prominence soon? The future is bright, but the present has and will likely continue to be a struggle, including tonight when the Lynx visit Crypto.com Arena.
Through eight games, Minnesota’s only losses have been to the Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces. While they may not be on the level of those teams and the New York Liberty, they appear to be the best of the rest.
The Sparks (2-6), on the other hand, are competing hard but don’t have anything to show for it other than wins over the only two teams below them in the WNBA standings, the 2-9 Indiana Fever and 0-9 Washington Mystics.
Will tonight’s result be the expected one? The Lynx are favored to leave Los Angeles with their seventh win of the season and judging by what they have done against most of their opponents, a comfortable win is the expected outcome.

Minnesota Lynx vs Los Angeles Sparks Betting Analysis
While the Sparks are finding wins hard to come by, there are very visible bright spots.
They did score a season-low 68 points in Sunday’s 19-point loss at Phoenix, they put in a better shift in the second half after being outscored 23-7 in the second quarter and trailing 39-22 at halftime.
Individually, the biggest bright spot for the Sparks has been Dearica Hamby, who is averaging 20.9 points per game, 11.6 rebounds per game, and 3.6 assists per game. Hamby has recorded six double-doubles in eight games, and she has hit the 20-point mark four times, including a 23-point performance in Sunday’s loss.
There are double-double machines on both sides in this matchup, as the Lynx counter with Napheesa Collier, who is averaging 21.4 PPG, 11.3 RPG, and 3.4 APG. Like Hamby, Collier has six double-doubles in eight games, and she has hit the 20-point mark five times, including a 24-point performance (with 14 rebounds, four assists, and three steals) in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Wings.
We should see big performances from both Hamby and Collier tonight, and that makes the props market a great way to attack this game, rather than any sides or totals. For what it’s worth though, when the Lynx have won every game by nine or more points and are 7-1 ATS, it’s highly likely that they will cover the spread tonight. So, if you do plan to pick any sides or totals, that is the best move to make.
