SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Sacramento Kings guard Garrett Temple will likely miss 2 to 3 weeks after partially tearing his left hamstring Tuesday night at Houston.
The Kings announced the injury Wednesday night after Temple underwent an MRI exam that revealed the injury. The team said he would be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.
Temple left the game with 9:29 remaining in the third quarter of a 105-83 road loss to the Rockets. He fell to the ground and immediately grabbed his left hamstring after a steal, then limped off the court and went directly to the locker room.
He is averaging a career-best 7.7 points along with 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists over a career-high 26.6 minutes in 49 games with 15 starts.
