LAS VEGAS — The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Orlando Magic, 104-98, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Wednesday.
While Orlando tied this game on three different occasions, Memphis won in wire-to-wire fashion. A 57-40 first half set the foundation for this win, ripping off a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to take command. The Grizzlies out-rebounded the Magic, 49-43, while winning the turnover battle, 12-7. They also outscored them in the paint, 50-40, and in second-chance points, 17-8.
The Grizzlies (3-0) were led by GG Jackson, generating 27 points and 13 rebounds. Scotty Pippen Jr provided 25 points, four rebounds and nine assists. DeJon Jarreau had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Trey Jemison tallied nine points, nine rebounds and two assists.
The Magic (2-1) were led by Jett Howard, finishing with 21 points and three assists. Jay Huff amassed 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Tristan Da Silva totaled 17 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Jared Rhoden led the bench with 12 points and five boards.
