Opening night? It’s just around the corner.

The time between now and then will fly though, filled with critical events for the organization. The ball gets rolling this week, and here’s how we’ll get to October 11.

Prospect Showcase

Up-and-coming talent participating in the tournament in Tennessee will all be on the ice together on Thursday before hitting the friendly skies.

At Ford Ice Center Bellevue from Friday to Monday, they’ll play three games in four days against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, and Nashville Predators.

• Friday, September 13 vs. Tampa Bay – 6 p.m. ET
• Saturday, September 14 vs. Florida – 3 p.m. ET
• Monday, September 16 vs. Nashville – 2 p.m. ET

Training Camp

Just one full day will stand between the conclusion of the Prospect Showcase and the onset of training camp, which is set to begin with fitness testing and physicals on Wednesday, September 18.

The group will then get on the ice on Thursday, September 19, split into two groups.

Practices that are open to the public at Invisalign Arena will be added to the team’s Practice Schedule page.

Preseason

After a string of practice days, the team will get into game action on Tuesday, September 24 with their exhibition opener in Tampa.

They’ll play six games over 12 days, progressively trimming the roster throughout.

• Tuesday, September 24 @ Tampa Bay – 7 p.m. ET
• Friday, September 27 vs. Florida – 6 p.m. ET
• Saturday, September 28 @ Florida – 6 p.m. ET
• Wednesday, October 2 vs. Nashville – 7 p.m. ET
• Friday, October 4 vs. Tampa – 7 p.m. ET
• Saturday, October 5 @ Nashville – 5 p.m. ET

Opening Night

On Friday, October 11 the Canes will begin their 27th season of play in North Carolina, playing host to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

It is the start of what will be a back-to-back set against the Bolts, with the same two teams meeting on Saturday night at Amalie Arena.

Tickets for all 41 regular season home games, and three home exhibition games, are on sale now.
