Panthers players help Dolphins kick off NFL season in South Florida

Verhaeghe, Mikkola, Ekblad, GM Zito get fans fired up for football

The Stanley Cup champions were out in full force to support the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Panthers forward Carter Verhaeghe and defensemen Niko Mikkola and Aaron Ekblad were on hand to rile up fans at Hard Rock Stadium.

The team shared a video of the trio prior to kickoff, ready for some football.

GM Bill Zito joined the players as they led the crowd in a pregame “Let’s Go Dolphins!” chant. The Dolphins mascot also got in on the fun.

The team had been sharing some football-related content from their victory parade, including playing catch with fans and Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert hoisting the Cup.
