HEHEHEY!!! Welcome back to the column of heroes and villains of Fantasy Football.
“LAMAR-AVILLOSO” JACKSON (QB1, 33.8 PF)
The Lions’ defense is among the best in terms of yards, points, and big plays allowed. Even Mahomes had a bad day against Detroit at Arrowhead. Add to this that the Ravens’ offense was not performing well, it’s understandable to fear using Lamar in Week 8. But it seems something changed because this offense looked like what we expected with Monken as offensive coordinator. Lamar looked really good in the pocket and rushing, getting 357 in the air, 3 TD passes and another 36 yards on the ground and another TD. If Lamar continues to have time in the pocket, he’ll have more afternoons like this.
D’ONTA “SCOREMAN” FOREMAN (RB1, 33 PF)
The Bears dominated the Raiders with an undrafted QB and an incredible performance from Foreman, my favorite waiver of the week. With Johnson absent, Foreman took over the carries, with 16, and maximized his performance against the Raider sieve, achieving a total of 120 yards, 3 receptions, and 3 TDs. Foreman may have taken on Herbert’s role, but I don’t think he’ll get the targets when Johnson returns. If you’re in dire need, you can use him as a TD-dependent RB3.
“AIR JORDAN” ADDISON (WR1, 31.3 PF)
The formula for “Primetime” Cousins’ success against the Niners, without Jefferson, is Jordan Addison. The sensational rookie took the team’s lead and dismantled San Francisco’s fearsome defense with 7 catches for 123 yards and 2 TDs. The Vikings seem to be reborn and Addison could be a Top 12 WR any week as long as Jefferson continues to recover from his injury.
MARK “MARAVILLA” ANDREWS (TE3, 22.3 PF)
Usually, Lamar’s good afternoons come with great performances from Andrews, who has been the second-best option in the position behind Kelce. This time, he stands out for scoring twice with only 6 targets for 4 receptions and 63 yards. This offense is on the rise and Andrews will continue to deliver good afternoons for your Fantasy Football team.
VILLANOS
JARED “BLUFF” (QB25, 9.36 PF)
AMARI “TE DUELE” COOPER (WR63, 4.2 PF)
Cooper didn’t see much action until the end of the game, finishing as the target leader with 8, but unfortunately only made 2 receptions for 22 yards. There was a bit of “droptitis” on Amari’s part, and some poor passes, but his situation is not a cause for concern. I just hope that Watson returns soon to improve the quality of those targets. I consider him a Top 24 WR for Week 8 against the Seahawks.
TYLER “HIGBEE-NAS NOCHES” (TE35, 1.7 PF)
I believe this is the first time that all the expected TEs delivered good performances. On TE’s day, most of them shone, except for a few like Higbee, who only had 3 targets for 1 reception and 7 yards. With the return of Kupp and the marvel of Puka, Higbee should be on waivers and stay there until further notice. If you need a TE, look for Taysom Hill, as they are finally using him as one.
