Clippers keep Marcus Morris with 4-year deal

Marcus Morris averaged 11.8 points and shot 47.5 percent from 3-point range during the 2020 playoffs.

The LA Clippers and Marcus Morris have reached an agreement on a 4-year, $64 million contract, in news first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Acquired at least season’s trade deadline, Morris played in 19 regular-season games and 13 postseason games for the Clippers. He averaged 10.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in the regular season and 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in the playoffs.

Morris, 31, gives the Clippers versatility with his ability to play center and defend big and small front-court players.

Before joining the Clippers last February, Morris averaged a career-high 19.6 points and 43.9% 3-point shooting in 43 games with the New York Knicks.
