The 2022-23 City Edition Uniform of the LA Clippers pays tribute to the team’s strong connection with the South LA community. It incorporates design features that honor the heritage and fervor of the well-known Drew League, thus highlighting the team’s deeply ingrained bond with the community.
The vibrant mosaic pattern on the chest draws inspiration from the famous Watts Towers, incorporating a wordmark that blends the traditional scripts of the Clippers and The Drew. The color green, which plays a significant role in the narrative of the Drew League, is used to border the inner bottom part of the jersey.
The motto of the Drew League, “No Excuse. Just Produce,” is featured as the jersey jocktag anthem. Dates marking the 50th anniversary of the Drew League are displayed on both sides of the motto.
