Chris Patrick, the senior vice president and general manager, announced today that the Washington Capitals will conduct their 2024 Rookie Camp from September 13-16 at the McMullen Hockey Arena in Annapolis, Maryland. This announcement was made in Arlington, Virginia.

Terik Parascak, a 2024 first-round pick, along with Andrew Cristall, Alexander Suzdalev, Ilya Protas, and Zac Funk are among the Capitals rookies slated to participate in the camp. A full roster will be released at a future date.

Once the Rookie Camp concludes, the Capitals, in collaboration with MedStar Health, will kick off their 2024-25 Training Camp. Caps Media Day will also be held on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

Every player, coach, and manager of the Capitals will be accessible to the press. The full training camp schedule and team will be revealed at a future date. Keeping with tradition, the MedStar Capitals Iceplex will be off-limits to the press on Wednesday, Sept. 18, which is when the Capitals’ veterans will undergo physical examinations and off-ice tests. This will be the 18th training camp the Capitals have held at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, a practice facility conveniently located within the Beltway and equipped with two NHL-level ice rinks. All on-ice activities will be open to the public free of charge.
