Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert, WR Jaylen Waddle questionable to play vs. Bills

Two key playmakers are facing an uncertain weekend after sitting out of Miami’s blowout loss in Baltimore.

Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) and Jaylen Waddle (ankle) are questionable for the Dolphins’ Week 18 showdown with the Buffalo Bills, according to the official injury report released Friday.

Waddle and Mostert both didn’t play in Week 17 when the Dolphins were overwhelmingly defeated by the in-form Ravens team. They both didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, however, they participated in a limited manner on Friday.

Cornerback Xavien Howard (foot) won’t play on Sunday night.

In his latest game, Week 16’s victory over Dallas, Waddle surpassed 1,000 receiving yards with 72 receptions, including a 50-yard catch. In the same match, Mostert exceeded the 1,000-yard mark in rushing, after carrying the ball 11 times for a total of 46 yards.

Both of them have been instrumental in Miami’s dynamic offense, and their participation would strengthen a team that is up against an AFC East competitor who has secured four consecutive victories coming into Sunday.

While they’ve already secured a playoff berth, Miami can win the AFC East with a victory over Buffalo. The Bills, meanwhile, can do the same with a win over the Dolphins, but aren’t guaranteed a postseason berth without a victory.
