Hawks' Clint Capela out at least another 2 weeks

Before getting a glimpse of their top trade deadline addition, the Hawks will have to wait a bit longer.

25-year-old center, Clint Capela, will be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks due to a right calcaneus contusion/plantar fasciitis, an injury he sustained while playing for the Houston Rockets. He has been battling with this bruised heel injury throughout the season and has not participated in a game since January 29.

Atlanta acquired Capela in a massive four-team trade at the deadline with expectations of integrating his talents with the team’s young core. How Capela plays alongside John Collins and All-Star guard Trae Young will be on hold until March at the earliest.

During the 2019-20 season, through 31 games, Capela has been averaging 13.9 points and 13.8 rebounds.
