Tonight, in some MLS action, the Philadelphia Union will host Toronto FC.

Ring the bells, secure the doors. The end is near, for Shaggy is wagering on a soccer game to have more goals. To paraphrase Paul Revere, “The Goals are coming, the Goals are coming.” Let’s hope this will be true tonight in Philadelphia.

As the Union host Toronto FC, we’re wagering on more than three goals being scored. It was tempting to go for a bet on over 3.5 for added profit, but scoring goals isn’t easy, so we’re not going to be overly ambitious. Both teams are among the top 10 for goals scored, but also among the top 12 for goals conceded this MLS season. Toronto has a 7-6-2 record for over three goals but has seen combined totals of seven and six goals in their two most recent matches. We anticipate they’ll manage to score at least once or twice for us.

Regarding the home team, Philadelphia has not experienced a shutout at home in this season’s MLS play. They have either matched or exceeded this number in 8 out of their last 9 matches, and have only managed to shutout their opponent once at home. Philadelphia on average lets in 2 goals per home game this season, but considering their attacking prowess and playing style, it’s possible that both teams could score a couple of goals in this match.

Hand me more than three with my pillow and potentially give me a nudge, but if you’re braver than I am, please add 3.5 for extra chicken.

LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas Best Bets

Tonight, FC Dallas is being hosted by the LA Galaxy.

Tonight, in Los Angeles, the Galaxy are preparing to give Dallas a tough time, intending to consume them and spit them right out. I firmly believe that the Galaxy will decimate FC Dallas. I didn’t wager on this game, but if you’re looking for a tip, I’m okay with the Galaxy -1 at (-125) odds. I’m willing to bet they’ll win by 2 or more.

This season, LA has managed to score 13 goals in their 6 home matches. While their defense may not be the strongest, FC Dallas is struggling offensively. They have not managed to score more than one goal in any away games this season. Despite only being shut out once, they often let their opponents score multiple goals. For instance, during a recent visit by Real Salt Lake, Dallas conceded 3 goals. Similarly, in an away game, Toronto succeeded in scoring 3 goals past Dallas’ goalkeeper.

The Galaxy, with their sights set on an MLS Title, are currently in joint second place, just 4 points shy of the top spot in the Western Conference. As they host tonight’s game, they are expected to easily demonstrate their superiority against a team that currently languishes far down in the league standings and is among the bottom five for goals scored this season.
