The Diamondbacks are seeking an improved offensive show in tonight’s game. Even though they led 2-0 after the first inning, Torey Lovullo’s team failed to score for the remainder of the game.
That being said, the recent trend of offensive inadequacy is becoming apparent. After all, the Diamondbacks have unfortunately suffered defeat in three out of their last four games, only managing to score two or less runs in each loss. To add insult to injury, they were only permitted to score a total of 10 runs across these losses, implying that a more consistent performance from their hitters could have potentially resulted in one or two victories.
Meanwhile, the Rangers are gradually improving their performance. Following a 2-12 SU streak across 14 games, the reigning champions have now secured consecutive victories for the first time since the start of the month. Although it’s a small sample size, they’ve managed to outscore their rivals 10-4 in the last two games and aim to continue this momentum in today’s game.
The Rangers have not performed exceptionally in inter-league games this season, however, their success rate of 42.1% is significantly higher than the Diamondbacks, who have a rate of 30.8%.

The Diamondbacks’ offense is nowhere to be found lately and I don’t see that changing today after their recent lack of success against the Rangers. Texas’ attack is starting to heat up again and could take advantage of Nelson, who’s been hit-or-miss throughout the season.
The Rangers also clearly have the Diamondbacks’ number, so let’s keep things simple with a moneyline bet.
